Hwy 175, Seagoville, Texas with a quorum present, to wit: Dennis Childress Jon Epps Jose Hernandez Rick Howard Harold Magill Mike Fruin Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Arrived at 7:07 p.m. The following staff members were also present: City Manager Patrick Stallings, Police ChiefRay Calverley, Community Development Director Ladis Barr, City Attorney Victoria Thomas, and City Secretary Kandi Jackson. North Watson Street in the City of Seagoville, Dallas County, Texas Applicant Edgar Bobadilla thanked Council and stated he would do a great job if he is Councilmember Hernandez asked if there are more properties in this addition. Discuss and consider directing staff on disposal of bricks from the demo of the old high school once located at 300/306 North Kaufman (Community Development Community Development Director Barr stated the bricks from the demo of the old) high school once located at 300/306. North Kaufman are. sitting at the Service Center and have been there since 2009. He stated they are nuisance for weeds, trees, and animals. He stated Staff would. like to dispose of the brick at Council's direction. Council directed. Staff to dispose of the brick properly by taking them to the landfill. Discuss and consider a Resolution Declaring Certain City Property Surplus and authorizing the City Manager to sell, trade, and/or dispose of the property in accordance with the process established in the Code ofOrdinances: providing for the repeal of any and all Resolutions in conflict: providing for a severability clause; and Police Chief Calverely stated the Police Department has Five (5) Ballistic Vests that are no longer profitable andi not being used! by the Police Department. He also stated the Police Department would like to declare them urplus property in order to sell, trade, and/or dispose of them in accordance with the process established in the Code ofOrdinances. Motion to approve Resolution Declaring Certain City Property Surplus and authorizing the City Manager to sell, trade, and/or dispose of the property in accordance with the process established in the Code of Ordinances: providing. for the repeal of any and all Resolutions in conflict: providing for a severability clause; and providing an effective date 10. Discuss and consider a Resolution oft the City Council of the City of Seagoville, Texas approving the terms and conditions of an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the Town of Sunnyvale, Texas relating to the donation of surplus law enforcement property (The "Property"); authorizing its execution by the City Manager or Police Chief Calverley stated the Police Department would like to donate the Five (5) Ballistic Vests that was declared surplus property in the previous agenda item to the Town ofSunnyvale. He stated the Town of Sunnyvale is in the processo ofestablishing their Police Department and are in need of the Five (5) Ballistic Vests. He also stated the Town of Sunnyvale understands the vests doi not come with any. guarantee or warranty and the vests Motion to approve a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Seagoville, Texas approving the terms and conditions of an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the Town of Sunnyvale, Texas relating to the donation of surplus law enforcement property (The "Property' "); authorizing its execution by the City Manager or designee; and providing an effective date - Epps, seconded by Howard; motion passed with all ayes. 5/0 11. Discussion and staff update concerning the Small Business Incentive Grant Program City Manager Stallings stated the Cityo and. Seagoville Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) partnered together to provide One Hundred Thousand Dollars (S100,000.00) in Small Business Incentive Grants. Discussion and consider extending the Small Business Incentive Grant Program Councilmember Hernandez stated the original program was due to expire on Friday, May 15, 2020, however there are still funds available and he would like Council to consider Council directed Staff to continue the Small Business Incentive Grant Program until. June 13. Receive Councilmember Reports/Items of Community Interest - as authorized by (Councilmember Hernandez) extending the program. 1,2020 or until the funds have been exhausted. Section 551.0415 of the Texas Government Code. None. 14.1 Future Agenda Items = Council to provide direction to staff regarding future agenda items.
