COUNTIES OF DALLAS AND KAUFMAN CITY OF SEAGOVILLE CITY OF SEAGOVILLE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING The City Council of the City of Seagoville met at an Emergency Special Meeting on Saturday, August 18, 2012 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at 702 N Hwy 175; Seagoville, Texas, with the following members present: Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Council Member Council Member Council Member Council Member Sidney M. Sexton, Jr Harold Magill Terri Ashmore Dennis Childress Peggy Day Lee Landess (arrived at 9:10 a.m.) Mayor Sexton called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m. and certified a quorum. Consider, discuss and take action regarding spraying related to the West Nile Virus and related health issues. City Manager Larry Graves informed the City Council that a decision to opt in or opt out of aerial spraying in Seagoville was due to Dallas County by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August Dee Thompson, 1918 Seagoville Road, addressed the City Council about his opposition to Council Member Ashmore reported that the majority of the phone calls she has received were in favor of spraying. Council Member Landess agreed to that statement as well. Council Member Childress made a motion to approve aerial spraying in Seagoville. Mayor 21,2012. aerial spraying. Pro Tem Magill seconded the motion and it passed 5-0. ADJOURN Mayor Sexton adjourned the meeting at 9:37 a.m. Approved this 17th day of September, 2012.
