COUNTIES OF DALLAS AND KAUFMAN  CITY OF SEAGOVILLE  CITY OF SEAGOVILLE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES  The City Council of the City of Seagoville met in a Regular Meeting on Monday, March 19, 2012 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 702 N. Highway 175,  Seagoville, Texas, with the following members present:  Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Council Member Council Member Council Member  Sidney M. Sexton, Jr Harold Magill Terri Ashmore Dennis Childress Peggy Day  Council Member Lee Landess was absent. Mayor Sexton called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.  WORKS SESSION  1. Staff Updates = Joy Hart, City Secretary, informed the Council she will take a leave of absence beginning Tuesday, March 27th to have surgery. She will be out of the office approximately 2-4 weeks. Larry Graves, City Manager advised the Council of  important upcoming dates:  March 21 - Chamber Lunch March 31 - Chamber Function/Auction April 2 - City Council Meeting April 4 - National Weather Storm Spotter Class April 9-14- City-Wide Clean-up April 26 - Customer Service Seminar May 3-5 - May Fest June 30 - Fireworks September 15 - Downtown Street Dance October 4-6- Seago Fest  2. Discussion of Agenda Items - None  3. Adjourn - Mayor Sexton adjourned the Work Session at 7:19 p.m.  REGULAR MEETING  CALL TO ORDER  Mayor Sexton called the Regular Meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Sexton gave the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. Consider approval of Resolution No. 09-R-12 ratifying SEDC Resolution 03-12 approving the 2012 Amended Bylaws and Rules of Procedure of the Seagoville  Economic Development Corporation.  Mayor Pro Tem Magill made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. Council Member Childress seconded the motion and it passed 4-0 with Councilmember  Landess absent.  INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION  1. Discussion of property located within the City's extra-territorial jurisdiction, as This item was postponed since Councimember Landess was absent from the meeting.  requested by Councimember Landess.
