STATE OF TEXAS CITY OF SEAGOVILLE  COUNTY OF DALLASICOUNTY OF KAUFMAN CITY OF SEAGOVILLE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES  The City Council of the City of Seagoville met in a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 702 N. Highway 175, Seagoville, Texas, with the following members present:  Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Council Member Council Member Council Member Council Member  Sidney M. Sexton, Jr. Brenda Thompson Jose Hernandez Harold Magill Carl Polnac Marshall Green  No Council Members were absent.  The following City staff members were present:  City Manager City Secretary Executive Assistant  Denny Wheat Sheila Martin Janie Willman  Mayor Sexton called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.  1. Conduct Official Canvass of Votes Cast in the Saturday, May 9, 2009, City  General Election.  City Secretary read Unofficial Results of the Election  Motion: Harold Magill made a MOTION to approve the Canvass of Votes as presented in Ordinance No. 06-09 and, Marshall Green SECONDED.  Vote: Motion carried unanimously 5 ayes - o nays 2. Conduct Oath of Office of Ceremony  The City Secretary administered the Oath of Office to  Sidney M. Sexton, Jr. Brenda Thompson Carl Polnac  3. Issue Certificates of Election  Mayor Sexton presented Certificates of Election to:  Brenda Thompson Carl Polnac, and  Brenda Thompson issued a Certificate of Election to Mayor Sexton    City Council Regular Meeting Minutes  May 19, 2009 Page 2 of2  CITIZEN COMMENTS FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS EXECUTIVE SESSION  There were no persons who spoke before Council. No Future Agenda Items were recommended. Council did not meet in Executive Session.  ADJOURN  Mayor Sexton adjourned the Council meeting at 6:38 p.m.  Approved this the 4th day of June, 2009.
