Hwy 175, Seagoville, Texas with a quorum present, to wit: Dennis Childress Jon Epps Jose Hernandez Rick Howard Harold Magill Mike Fruin Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember The following staff members were also present: City Manager Patrick Stallings, Police Chief Ray Calverley, Community Development Director Ladis Barr, City Attorney Victoria Thomas, Finance Director Gail French, Fire Chief Todd Gilcrease, Director of Administrative Services Cindy Brown, and City Secretary Kandi Jackson. A. Discuss Regular Session Agenda Items 1. Consider approving Workshop Meeting minutes for May 13, 2021 and City Council Meeting minutes for May 17, 2021 (City Secretary) No questions. 2. Conduct interviews with Boards & Commissions Applicants for appointment City Secretary Jackson stated Place 7 on the Keep Seagoville Beautiful Commission is vacant. She also stated Mildred Chamberlain has applied to fill that position and City Secretary Jackson stated the members of the Seagoville Economic Development Commission that are up for reappointment and turned in applications for consideration of reappointment are: Barbara Sherman Place 1, Theo Hamilton and reappointments (City Secretary) the background check has been completed. Direct Staff concerning the first Council Meeting in July, 2021 (City City Secretary Jackson stated the first Council Meeting in July of 2021 falls on Monday, July 5, 2021. She stated city offices are closed on that day in observance of the Fourth of. July Holiday. She also stated Siaff is seeking direction from Council 4. Receive presentation of City of Seagoville's Comprehensive Annual Financial City Manager Stallings stated Item #4 will be discussed in Regular Session. 5. Conduct a Public Hearing on a change in the zoning from C, Commercial, to R-5, Residential Single Family-5, on an approximately 0.481+ acre tract described as Tract 50 in the Henry D. Bohannon Survey, Abstract 178, commonly referred to as 316 South Kaufman Street in the City of Seagoville, City. Manager Stallings stated. Item #5 will be discussed in Regular Session. 6. Discuss and consider approving an Ordinance of the City of Seagoville, Texas, amending the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Seagoville, as amended, by granting a change in the zoning from C, Commercial, to R-5, Residential Single Family-5, on an approximately 0.481+ acre tract described as Tract 50 in the Henry D. Bohannon Survey, Abstract 178, commonly referred to as 316 South Kaufman Street in the City of Seagoville, Dallas County, Texas, and being depicted and legally described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein; providing for: a repealing clause; providing for a savings clause; providing for a severability clause; providing for a penalty of fine not to exceed the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) for each offense; and providing an effective date (Community City Manager Stallings stated Item #6 will be discussed in Regular Session. 7. Discuss no parking signs to be located at or near Hall and Shadybrook Councilmember Hernandez stated afier consideration he would like to recommend enforcement ofabandoned vehicles.
