Giapandle MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JUNE: 3,2019 The Work Session of the City Council of the City of Seagoville, Texas was called to order at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019, at City Hall, 702 N. Hwy 175, Seagoville, Texas with a quorum present, to wit: Dennis Childress Jon Epps Jose Hernandez Rick Howard Harold Magill Mike Fruin Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember The following staff members were also present: City Manager Patrick Stallings, Police Chief Ray Calverley, Community Development Director Ladis Barr, City Attorney Victoria Thomas, Code Enforcement Supervisor Jeff Swaggerty, Police Captain Steve Davis, Junior Planner Jennifer Bonner, Seagoville Economic Development Assistant Don Cole, Director of Administrative Services Cindy Brown, and City Secretary Kandi Jackson. B. Receive presentation concerning how to submit loud noise complaints Police Captain Steve Davis presented the process for submitting a loud noise complaint. A. Discuss regular session agenda items 7. Discuss and consider approval of a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Seagoville, Texas, authorizing the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Dallas County, Texas for participation in the Memorandum of Undertamdimglaterleal Agreement among participating local governments for Law Enforcement Data Sharing via Dallas County Police Chief Calverley stated this Resolution will allow the City of Seagoville to partner with other local agencies to continue using the Law Enforcement Data Adult Information System (AIS)(Police Chief) Sharing via Dallas County. Discuss and consider approving a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Seagoville, Texas, amending the FY 2018-2019 Master Fee Schedule by amending the Building Inspection/Code Enforeement/ealth Section by repealing the fee for a Residential Building Permit and replacing the same with a fee of Seventy-Five Cents ($0.75) per sqaure foot; and providing an effective date (Community Development Director) Community Development Director Barr stated this Resolution will amend the Master Fee to provide for the new Residential Building Permit Fees according to HB 852. He stated HB 852 no longer allows cities to charge for Residential Building Permit Fees based upon valuation. He also stated this Resolution will allow the CityofSeagoville to charge seventy-five cents (S0.75), per square. foot. Councilmember Magill asked if these fees are for new construction or renovations. Community Development Director Barr stated the fees are for both.
