Gsoille MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL REGULAR SESSION SEPTEMBER 12, 2022 The Regular Session of the City Council of the City of Seagoville, Texas was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022, at City Hall, 702 N. Hwy 175, Seagoville, Texas with a quorum present, to wit: Dennis Childress Harold Magill Jose Hernandez Rick Howard Mike Fruin Jon Epps Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember The following staff members were also present: City Manager Patrick Stallings, Police Chief Ray Calverley,Community Development DirectorLadis Barr, City Attorney Victoria Thomas, Finance Director Gail French, Director of Administrative Services Cindy Brown, and City Secretary Kandi Jackson. Conduct a public hearing to receive citizen input on the proposed tax rate of $0.752687 per $100 valuation, which is greater than the no new revenue tax rate calculated by the Dallas County Tax Assessor/Collector of $0.662127 per 100 and not greater than the voter-approval tax rate of.752688 per $100. January 1, 2022, to provide revenue for the payment of current expenses; providing for an interest and sinking fund for all outstanding debt of the city of Seagoville; providing for due and delinquent dates together with penalties and interest; providing a severability clause; providing a repealing clause; and providing an effective date (Finance Director) Imove that the property tax rate be increased by the adoption ofat tax rate of0.752687, which is effectively a 13.68 percent increase in the tax rate - Hernandez, seconded by Epps; motion passed with all ayes. 4/0 (Mayor Pro Tem Magill called for a record vote; For Hernandez, 10.
