Giagalle  MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL REGULAR SESSION AUGUST 15, 2022  The Regular Session ofthe City Council of the City of Seagoville, Texas, was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2022, at City Hall, 702 N. Hwy 175, Seagoville, Texas,  with a quorum present, to wit:  Dennis Childress Harold Magill Jose Hernandez Rick Howard Mike Fruin Jon Epps  Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember  Absent  The following staff members were also present: City Manager Patrick Stallings, Police ChiefRay Calverley, Community Development Director Ladis Barr, Public Works Director Chris Ryan, Director of Health Mamata Bhandari, City Attorney Victoria Thomas, Finance Director Gail French, Director of Administrative Services Cindy Brown, and City Secretary Kandi Jackson.  Invocation - Invocation was led by Mayor Pro Tem Magill. Pledge of Allegiance - Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Childress.  Mayor's Report - Mayor Childress stated that he and Scott Englert from Victory Baptist Church attendedi the. Prayer Walk at Seagoville Middle School on Friday, August 12, 2022. He statedabout 95% of the teachers joined in prayer. for the school year, and today, Monday, August 15, 2022, Citizens Public Comment Period- This portion of the meeting is to allow each speaker up to six (6) minutes t0 address the council on items not posted on the current agenda. The council may not discuss these items but respond. with factual data or policy information, or place the item on aj future agenda. Citizens wishing to speak on posted agenda items will be called upon at that time. Receive Councilmember Reports/Items of Community Interest - as authorized by Councilmember Hernandez reminded everyone that school is back in session SO be careful in Councimember Magill stated he attended a meeting with Dallas Council Member Tennell Atkins concerning Code Enforcement and growth around the Lasater and Stark area in  Year 2023.  4/0  Director)  Section 551.0415 oft the Texas Government Code.  the school zones.  Seagoville.  Councilmember Epps stated Ard Road and Simonds Road are looking good.  9. Future Agenda Items - Council to provide direction to staff regarding future agenda items.
