STATE OF TEXAS *** COUNTY OF HENDERSON *** CITY OF BROWNSBORO ***  The City Council met in the City Hall of the City of Brownsboro, Texas on  October 31, 2022 at 5:00 P.M. for a regular meeting.  I. Call to order: Mayor Dusty Wise II. Invocation: Mayor Dusty Wise Doug Shaffer and Glen Vest Those absent: Charles Cox Absent: Jacob Ashton  III. Those present included Council members Trayce West, Len Vest,  Staff Present: Ronnie Goodson, Maint. Supt. and Chief Danny Ford Guest(s): Sheriff Hillhouse, District Attorney Palmer, and attached IV. Motion to approve previous minutes of September 26,2022 meeting made by Councilman Len Vest, with one error, second by Councilman Doug V. Presentation by Citizens: None  VII. New Business:  1. Sheriff Hillhouse and District Atty. Palmer presented facts regarding Crimes Against Children and a newly formed task force in Henderson County strictly to handle them. This including sexual assault. They brought to council attention there were 363 reports of the crimes, including 7 reports from the Brownsboro Police Dept. this year. They are going to each city inside Henderson County to ask for $10,000 and a Resolution to include Brownsboro as one of the cities The Mayor and each member of the Council see the need and are in favor The Sheriff will email the Resolution and have at the November 2022 2. Items of discussion by Council Members:  Glen Vest commented he had observed repair of the major water problem previous weekend, everything was handled in a professional manner. He also commented on how nice the dog kennel is and thanked the  Maintenance Department for their job well done. Utility Dept.: Jacob Ashton was not at meeting. Police Dept.: Chief Ford gave statistics  X. Staff Reports:  Maintenance: Mr. Goodson advised they had limbs trimmed from a pecan tree at the park. Steve has been working and cleaning at the sewer plant  and the lagoons. Clean up weekend went very well.  XI. Announcements:  XII.
