381 CONCORD CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL JOINT MEETING AUGUST 5,2 2021 The City Council for the City of Concord, North Carolina, held a special joint City Council meeting with the City of Concord Planning and Zoning Commission on August 5, 2021, beginning ate 6:00p.m. at the Cabarrus Center (57 Union St, S)to discuss various planning topics relative to development process. Deason Members Present: Planning and Neighborhood Development Director, Steve Osborne Planning and Neighborhood Development Deputy Director, Kevin Ashley Call to Order: Presentations: The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dusch. The Planning and Neighborhood Development Deputy Director presented an Following the development process overview, the Planning and Neighborhood Development Director presented a map reflecting existing properties zoned I-1 (light industrial) and I-2 (heavy industrial). He also presented a map reflecting the existing properties zoned C-2 (general commercial) and O-I (office and institutional). He stated that currently there is 4.3% of vacant property zoned I-1, 5.6% of 1-2, 2.6% of overview of the development process. C-2, and 0.3% ofO-I.
