Introduction to Supervisorylobsite. safety inspections Ben Butler to Danny Potter: Are there going to be more than one person ini the bucket? Does the harness system only allow one person to drop? Do we need to buy another Mr. Butler, Iwould like to address your concern about having two linemen in the bucket truck and the ability for both to self-rescue. The Self-rescue equipment we are implementing is designed for one lineman to self-rescue per each rescue kit. Our current standard work practices stipulate that only one person SHALL work out of the bucket at any, given time. The reason we avoid 2 linemen working out oft the: same set if wel keep two people int the bucket truck? bucket truck arises from the hazards that one worker could potentially contact a ground wire and the other would contact an energized wire at the same time. This would cause al harmful difference of potential voltage, thus the reason for having each worker in their own insulated bucket truck. We recognize that there are rare/unique situations, such as annual rescue certification training, where two linemen may need to bei int the bucket simultaneously. To address this, we will provide additional self-rescue equipment specifically for these rare occasions. This ensures that both linemen can safely evacuate ifr needed during training or other exceptional circumstances. Thank you fory your thoughtful consideration during the recent presentation regarding our self-rescue system for linemen working in bucket trucks.I lappreciate your attention to Jon Blalock presented on Annual Electric System Maintenance Plan, which consisted of: safety matters. - Danny Potter 1.Tree Trimming 4.
