Mr. Finn introduced Mary Ann Blosky, Stroke Program Coordinator with Geisinger Health System, who said stroke is the fourth-leading cause ofdeath nationwide, but the third-leading cause of death in Pennsylvania. Ms. Blosky said the key tos successfully treating stroke is getting to the hospital in time. Int the event stroke is suspected, she advised calling EMS services as treatment can start in the ambulance. Mr. Gerst moved to accept aj proposal of $4,500.00 from Strosser Architecture & Conservation Inc. to provide engineering services for the removal of architectural barriers project at the Montour County Home. Route 54. The project, which Mr. Ward said will slow traffic down and decrease accidents, will be completely funded with federal dollars. The traffic signal at the Interstate 80 interchange will also receive new equipment in conjunction with the project.
