TOWN OF PLYMOUTH SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES MARCH 27, 2024 - VIA COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND. ZOOM  9:30 a.m.  .  CALL TO ORDER - Mayor Brian Roth  Mayor Roth called the meeting to order and welcomed all attendees. CLOSED SESSION  A motion Wo go into Closed Session under $143-318.11(a)3) to consult with an attorney employed or retained by the public body in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and the public body, which privilege is hereby acknowledged and $143-318.11(a)6) to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of an individual public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee; or to hear or investigate a complaint, charge, or grievance by or against an individual public officer or employee. General personnel policy issues may not be considered in a closed session Counciwoman Teel with a second by Councilwoman Nixon. The motion passed by  unanimously. III. OPEN SESSION  Mayor Roth called the meeting back into Open Session and apologized for the length of the Closed Session. Mayor Roth announced that Congressman Don Davis will be in Plymouth March 28th in the afternoon to make a presentation to the Town as well as to Police Chief Williams. Congressman Davis will present some Congressionally directed funding to the Town for cameras and equipment for public safety. Councilwoman Nixon made an announcement concerning an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Conference that will be announced at a later date.
