CONSIDER ADOPTING- - Resolution 24-02 Authorizing the Town Manager to execute an MOA with the NCI League of Municipalities fort the League's Municipal Accounting Services: and Town Manager Peter Franzese gave aj presentation and answered questions from thel Mayor and Board. NCLM is making a variety of services available to municipalities across the state with the ARP Service Line. Services are provided through NCLM staff and ai network of statewide Cybersecurity Grant and the Guidance and' Technical Assistance Grant partnerships. Options include municipal accounting software, legal assistance, strategy and approach, grant funding, cybersecurity, planning and engineering, and communication with citizens. Town staffi is exploring several oft the available options but recommends moving ahead at Thel NCLM has provided al blanket MOA that includes language for the Municipal Accounting Services (MAS) program. Staff] has not yet determined whether to] partner with NCLM: for MAS, and NCLMI has assured us that thei included language on MAS only applies ifa town is entering intot that program.. Asi it currently stands, MAS will not apply to Spencer, and MASi is not required to move forward with cyber security and grant services. Ifv we determine we would like to move forward These services will be funded by NCLM's.
