Mr. Hill stated that the Town's audit has been completed, financial statements and notes were prepared and submitted to the LGC on October 31, 2023. The Board thanked Mr. Hill for his presentation. Amendment 23-14.009 Salisbury-Rowan The Spencer Mural Selection Committee is organizing thei installation of the recently approved mural by Amiri Farris and is planning a community input session for the future Max Dowdle mural 2022-2023 Annual Audit Community Foundation Grant on the side ofTown Hall. Manager CONSIDER APPROVING -2024 Town of Spencer School Safety and Support Grant Program The Board has allocated $20,000 in the FY23-24 budget for the funding of a grant focusing on initiatives concerned with gang violence, human trafficking, and teacher morale in the Town's public schools. The Town now needs to approve or modify the grant program as presented. Action Alderman Andrew Howe moved to approve the 2024 Town of Spencer School Safety and! CONSIDER AWARDING- 2023-24: Salisbury Corridor Improvement Grant The Board budgeted $10,000 for the 2023-24 Façade Grant" Program. Mr. Curtis Allman proposes to install new awnings on the side façade oft the building (facing S. Yadkin. Ave.) to match the existing awnings on the front façade (5th Street). The awnings are standing-seam metal shed-style awnings. They will match the existing awnings on the buildingi in The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) issued a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) permit The Community Appearance Commission (CAC) has issued a recommendation for this project.
