CALLTOORDER Mayor Chavez called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 7:05 a.m. in the City Hall Community Room located at 9701 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City. 2. ROLL CALL PRESENT: ABSENT: Councimember - Chen, Man, Sternquist, Yu, Chavez Councimember - None Preservation Officer Tran ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook, City Clerk Kuo, and Senior Community Captain Meza, Deputy Anchondo, and Deputy Lam 3. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 24-5760 APPROVING THE PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT AND JOINT ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS FOR 5003 The City Council is requested to adopt the resolution approving the purchase and sale agreement and joint escrow instructions for 5003 Sereno Drive. City Manager Cook gave a brief background on the property and an overview of City Council did not have any questions or comments regarding the adoption of SERENO DRIVE (APN 5388-016-001) the purchase of the property. the resolution to purchase 5003 Sereno Drive. Mayor Chavez opened public comment. Jerry Jambazian, Temple City business owner, asked if Proposition A fund could have been used for the purchase or improvement of the property. Approve the Purchase and Sale Agreement and Joint Escrow Instructions between the City of Temple City and Richardson Griswold, Esq., Court Appointed Receiver for real property located at 5003 Sereno Drive, Temple 2. Approve budget amendments totaling $910,000 from FY 2023-2024 General Fund for the one-time expense and rollover any balance remaining Seconded by Councimember Chen and approved by the following votes: City (APN 5388-016-001); and inFY2024-2025. CRIME TRENDS Deputy Lam provided an overview of crime trends in neighboring cities affecting Temple City for the month of May 2024. D. NOTABLE ARRESTS month of May 2024. E. CRIME STATISTICS Deputy Lam provided an overview of notable arrests made in the City for the City Council Meeting Agenda September 24, 2014 Page 3of3 Deputy Lam provided an overview of the crime statistics for the month of May 2024. F. TRAFFIC ISSUES Deputy Lam provided an overview of the traffic issues for the month of May 2024. G. TRAFFIC STATISTICS Deputy Lam provided an overview of the traffic statistics for the month of May 2024. H. SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT TEAM ACTIVITIES Deputy Lam provided an update on the special assignment team activities. PUBLIC OUTREACH/EVENIS Deputy Lam reported on the public outreach conducted by the special assignment team. J. UPCOMING EVENTS FOR JUNE 2024 Deputy Lam announced upcoming meetings and events that will be conducted in the City. 7.
