Ayes: Goldman, Scherer, Barthlow, Moore ADMINISTRATION OF OATH Code Enforcement Board Attorney Chris Anderson administered the Oath of Office to Member Scherer SWEARING IN OF CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER CEOO'Neill was sworn in by Ms. Earwood. NEW BUSINESS Case # EN23-0014- Turner CEO O'Neill presented the case to thel board. Ms. Brenda Turner was sworn in by Ms. Earwood and spoke on her own behalf. Ms. Cathy Byrd was sworn in by Ms. Earwood and presented her own testimony. Ms. Jean Paigo-Thom was sworn in by Ms. Earwood and presented her own testimony. Motion made by Member Barthlow that the Board finds that the Code Enforcement Officer's Finding of Facts have shown by aj preponderance ofevidence based upon the testimony, case documentation, and discussion of the Board to be valid; Seconded by Member Scherer. Motion Motion made by Member Barthlow that based upon the testimony, case documentation, and discussion, the Code Board finds that Brenda Turner, owner of property located at 10724 SE 55th CT, Belleview, FL (Parcel ID# 3717-001-007) violated the following City of Belleview Code of Ordinances, as referenced in the findings of fact: Article II Section 82-30, 82-32, and 82-34; Seconded by Member Goldman. Motion was by roll call vote. Ayes: Goldman, Scherer, Motion made by Member Scherer to order the following corrective action: was by roll call vote. Ayes: Goldman, Scherer, Barthlow, Moore Barthlow, Moore 1. Assess ai minimum Code Enforcement fee of$350.00 for City expenses incurred in this case 2. A fine of$250.00 per day will be assessed starting 2 weeks from date of signed order ifRVis 3.Ifthe property is not maintained as required per code by City of Belleview Code of Ordinances Article II Sections 82-30, 82-32, and 82-34 staffi is directed to request funds from the City Commission on behalf oft the Code Enforcement Board to correct all violations. All costs incurred by the City are tol be placed on the property as a lien until paid with maximum fine to be Seconded by Member Barthlow. Motion was by roll call vote. Barthlow; Nays: Moore BOARD COMMENTS: None STAFF COMMENTS: Ms. Chancey discussed the City's move to a magistrate. Ms. Moore expressed her concerns about this move and disappointment that the Cityl had not notified her of the discussions at the City Commission. Ms. Moore stated that it has been her pleasure to work with everyone and honor and privilege to serve the community. Ms. Chancey stated that the City appreciates everyone on thel board.
