OPPORTUNITY FOR COUNCIL COMMENTS:  (CM) Matt Stiglitz mentioned that the bike path still needs to be cleared. Montgomery County  will be notified again.  Next council meeting will be changed to July 15. [New Date was 7/10/24]  MAYOR UPDATES AND OLD BUSINESS:  Good news... there will be a new crossing light on MacArthur and Bannockburn Drive installed in 2025 (instead of the projected 8-10 years). This was initiated by Glen Echo (Mayor  Costello).  Swearing in of new Town Manager, Angie Zeidenberg.  MOTION TO APPROVE the 5/13/24 Minutes: CM Stiglitz; 2w CM Wilson. 4-0 in favor ACTION ON BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR FY24: SHELVED FOR NOW    Discussion on budget expenses CM(s) Stiglitz and Spealman notice some discrepancies and want some clarification from LSWG. Eva will be asked to attend the next council meeting to  explain.  OPERATIONS REPORT:  Town Picnic on June 23. CM(s) Spealman, Stiglitz and Tanner will be in charge at the picnic.  Street light installed at Bannockburn Drive and MacArthur. July 4 celebration - Livable Town Committee finalizing plans. Elevator bids - get more information on the two proposals. Hire consultant for municipal training (for Angie and Mayor Costello)  FINANCIAL REPORT:  Discussion on May expenses and higher costs with Town Hall maintenance. Revisit financial report with LSWG representative at the next Council Meeting. OPPORTUNITY FOR COUNCIL TO HEAR RESIDENTS COMMENTS: Dog owners need reminding about keeping dogs on leash and cleaning up after dogs.
