On July 23rd, Iv was nominated by the 2nd Senatorial District Committee to serve the remainder of his unexpired term. This nomination went to the Governor for appointment. If the Governor does not act, the appointment automatically becomes effective July 31st, 2024. Since I cannot serve in two elected offices simultaneously, please accept this as my resignation as the Ward 6 Alderman for the City of New Bern l'am humbled by the faith and confidence the citizens of Ward 6 placed in me andl I am truly honored to have served them in this role.
