The voice vote was unanimous. Treasurer's Report, Approval of Expenditures and Budget Worksheet: Clerk/Treasurer, Barb Colucci went over balance sheet and P&L. December 2020 and January 2021 expenditures: December 2020- Regions Bank Svc Chg $31.38, Clerk/Treasurer salary $896.50, Barbara Colucci $33.00 (stamps for election mailing), Persson & Cohen $2060.00, Waste Services $793.20, Verizon $63.84, Pinellas County Sheriff $2924.00, Duke Energy $248.72, Pinellas County Sheriff Code Enforcement $47.88. January 2021- Mayors Council Pinellas County Annual Dues $300.00, Regions Bank Svc Chg $31.52, Clerk/Treasurer salary $896.50, Waste Services $1077.75, Verizon $63.94, Pinellas County Sheriff $2924.00, Persson & Cohen $1693.25, Internal Revenue Svc $540.00, Pinellas County Sheriff Code Enforcement Jan 2021 $47.88, Pinellas County Code Enforcement Oct 2020$35.91, Duke Energy $246.37. It was moved by Vice Mayor Roseman and seconded by Commissioner Tolbert to approve both the treasurers report and expenditures. The voice vote was unanimous. Sheriff's Report Corporal Duncan reported no crime in Belleair Shore for December and January and introduced Deputy Ferguson to the Commission. Counsel Comments Resolution 2021-01 Special Magistrate appointment read by Counsel Kardash. Public Meeting opened at 6:14pm by Mayor Schmidt It was moved by Commissioner Tolbert and seconded by Commissioner Niewiarowski to approve Resolution 2021-01. The voice vote was unanimous. Public Meeting closed at 6:14pm. Counsel Kardash made a recommendation to the Counsel to switch our Town phone to a Government Priority phone and to allow a Town credit card to be obtained. Commission was in agreement. Clerk to research phone and Mayor Schmidt to work with Clerk/Treasurer to obtain credit card through Regions Bank. Flood Plain Management Lisa Foster presented ordinance change recommendations to the commission to decide upon the changes, based on the Pinellas County model ordinance and conforming to the unique circumstances of Belleair Shore. The adoption timeline of our new ordinance is by the end of August 2021 Miscellaneous Clerk presented quotes from sign companies as a follow up to December meeting request from Commission to change signs and parking at accesses during daylight hours only. Itwas agreed to go with Fast Signs quote of $137.26 for 3 signs. All Commission was in agreement for sign changes.
