AS)  1872  TOWN OF ASTATULA CEMETERY COMMITTEE MINUTES  REGULAR MEETING Tuesday September 10, 2019 TOWN HALL  Confirmation that the meeting was properly posted, Chairman Winkle called the Regular Cemetery Committee Meeting to order at 6:03 pm. Invocation was given, and the Pledge of Allegiance was  recited. Members Present: Charlotte Winkle, Chairman Jennifer Anthony, Secretary David Jones Patricia May  Also Present:  Jane Whaley, Deputy Town Clerk  Roll call was performed, and it was determined that a quorum was present.  MINUTEAPPROVAL  Approval of minutes for May 14, 2019 Cemetery Committee Meeting  MOTION by Member. Anthony to approve the minutes; SECONDED by Member May  For: Anthony, May, Jones, & Winkle Against: None MOTION CARRIED 4-0 OLD BUSINESS  UPDATE ON REPAIRS TO FENCING AT CEMETERY Materials have been purchased and will hopefully be installed soon.  UPDATE ON CEMETERY CLEAN-UP  The Town has purchased violation flags for offending gravesites. Flags have not yet been placed  due to limited hours scheduled for the maintenance worker.  20-YEAR PLAN FOR CEMETERY previously discussed projects.  Committee discussed the need to start pricing certain ideas to see ifthe funds can be raised for  Cemetery Meeting Minutes September 10, 2019 Page 2of2    Once committee has quotes, we need to get on the Town Council meeting agenda to find out ifwe  can proceed. The new section oft the cemetery will be opened soon. WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA- DECEMBER 14.2019  Planned as previously discussed. Committee will give Jane any Veterans names (that we know of)  that are not on the list. NEW BUSINESS  RE-CONFIRM BOARD MEMBERS FOR NEW YEAR  Charlotte wants to resign as Chairwoman once we have new members to keep a quorum.  Committee will promote next meeting to try and recruit new members. BEAUTIFICATION OF ENTRANCE & EXITS OF CEMETERY Plans on hold until money can be budgeted for sprinklers. VETERANS/REFLECTION AREA WITH BENCH  Need specific info about what we want to do such as a Flag pole and nice bench, prices, quotes and donations to present to Town Council. Jane will ask Southern Monument about bench Discussion was held about Town having a Fall Festival in October- we may be able to fund raise at the festival. Possibly a cake-walk and candy apples. Discussion was also held about sod ben? being replaced on top aftera new grave has been dug. Jane has already commented to the company about replacing the top layer of sod. She will call again to make sure this does not continue.  pricing/quotes.  ADJOURNMENT  With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 6:59 pm.
