The invocation and Pledge of Allegiance had been done at the prior workshop. Members Present: Mitchell Mack, Mayor Kimberly Kobera, Vice-Mayor Stephen Cross Gayle Sikkema Orita Issartel Also Present: Graham Wells, Town Clerk Walter Hoagland, Police Chief Roll Call was performed, and it was determined that a quorum was present. This public hearing is for the purpose of announcing the percentage by which the millage rate differs from the rolled-back rate; and for Council to adopt the final millage rate by Resolution. Council will also adopt the final budget for Fiscal Year 2020-21 by fund RESOLUTION 2020-18 - DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING THE RATE OF A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ASTATULA, FLORIDA, DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING THE RATE OF AD VALOREM TAXATION; LEVYING THE ANNUAL PROPERTY TAXES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020-2021 FOR THE TOWN OF ASTATULA, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR AN Mayor Mack read the resolution title and announced the following information as required department. He stated that the budget showed a surplus of $51,600.00 being carried forward for the first time in many Itisrecommended that the Town has two months (6679)ofexpendtures ini reserve which he hoped to achieve when the audit is completed for the current year. The goal is to reach three months ofreserves or 25 percent ini the upcoming year. The General Fund account has $60,347 more than the same time last year which is a good position to be in. The Road Fund has $24,637 more and the Impact Fee fund is depleted by $50,476as aresult ofthe purchase A loan was taken out for $350,000 to finish the construction oft the new community center; however, once the final payment is made, $220,000 will have been used which would reduce the level ofinterest tol be paid.
