Clean-up and recovery were done in less than 8 hours and allowed for our scheduled annual Light Up the Night Event. Thanks to Borough Department Heads for assisting with the 2022 Budget. Police Chief, Christopher Deasy Total number of calls/complaints for the month of November is 133: 22 incidents, 6 arrests, 5 traffic citations. 12 prisoners held from Homestead. Fire Chief, John Dindak WHVFD responded to 386 calls as of the end of November 2021. Also had 1 train derailment and 1 car on the track, very fortunate no injuries. Planning for the Christmas Parade this Saturday. Called out on 2 fires as mutual aid. Thankfully, our town was quiet. Next Saturday will be our annual drive around Toy Drive. Fire Department purchased the generator for a warming and cooling center. A gas line will still need to be installed, most likely in 2022. Jason McMichael passed his fire fighter exam. Congratulations. We do appreciate Council for all their support. Public Works, Glenn Guckes Thanks to Borough for New Salt Bin. Working with Donna on ordering the salt. Trucks are tested and ready to go. All the lights worked for Light Up Night. Snowflakes will be installed this week.
