The turnout for the fund drive was 35%. Steel Rivers Council of Governments: Ashley Cain Steel Valley Enterprise Zone: Barb Ferson On summer break. Steel Valley Rivers of Steel will have a live art display down the Avenue. Enix is closed, Independent Brewing might be opening there. First Fridays are back with open "Mic" Nights. They are close to getting title insurance. Taxes have been exonerated by the school and now he goes to the County. Land Bank will help with vacant properties. They will remove all liens, free and clear, get property insurance. This will help in the Northern neighborhood. Cost of lumber is up 200%. Public Safety: Rose Scolieri, Chair Total number of calls/complaints for the month of July is 190: 170 from West Homestead, 20 mutual aids traffic citations. 13 prisoners were held from Homestead Zone 1: 24%, Zone 2: 58%, Zone 3: 19% Meeting with the Chiefonce a week Met on August 4th at 5 pm. requirements (Consent Order). 2felonies, 3 misdemeanors, 2 summary offenses, 7 traffic violations and 6 Sewer Management; Ashley Cain, Chair Goal/Objective of the group is to maintain fundable and sustainable sanitary and storm systems that adhere to governmental (DEP)conditions and Next step is to set up a meeting with PFM, which the Manager will coordinate. Barb Ferson: There has been miscommunication on the budget at the end of 2020. $100,000 earmarked Calhoun Park went into General Fund Manager Etherington stated that the dollars will go back into Escrow and Capital 2. Joanne Arlett: Doyle Avenue; Neighbors cannot walk on sidewalks due to recycling cans and garbage cans. The smell is disgusting. Improvement. President Baran stated that Code Enforcement will send a notice of violation. 3. Angela McNutt: Fieldstone Drive; Son had a lemonade stand in our driveway on Fieldstone Drive from 3-5, speeding traffic is dangerous. Discussion among the Council regarding this issue: *Speed bump outside Calhoun Park. *Have a study done on a "speed tracker". *Paint ridges, rumble strips. This issue will be brought up at the next public safety meeting. After this discussion, a motion (#9) was made. 9. Approve the purchase of a portable speed hump.
