BOROUGH OF WEST HOMESTEAD  Special Meeting March 28, 2022 Minutes  Call to Order  President Joe Baran called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M.  Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call  Present: Mr. Baran, Mr. Harhai, Ms. Cain, Mr. McLaughlin, Ms. Scolieri. Absent were Mr. Also, in attendance were Mayor John Dindak and Borough Manager Bill Etherington  Guzzi. Recused were Ms. Ferson.  Public Comment on Agenda Items  No comments. Second: Ms. Cain All voted in favor of Motion.  Motion by Mr. Harhai to enter Executive Session at 6:05 P.M.  Manager & Council proceeded to discuss Personnel Developments and Timeline in the  hiring process for a New Police Chief.  Motion by Mr. Harhai to return from Executive Session at 6:26 P.M.  Second: Ms. Cain  All Council Members voted in favor of Motion.  Motion by Mr. Harhai to approve the hiring of Charles A. Rozzo for the position of Police Chief for the Borough of West Homestead with a starting salary of $80K, 2 Week Vacation, 2 Personal Days, 10 Sick Days, 81 Holidays, Group Health Benefits including Dental and Eye Care, $75K Life Ins. Policy, Short and Long Term Disability Benefits and Eligibility for the Police Pension Program. This offer is contingent upon satisfactorily passing the Borough requirements for a physical examination, drug test, psychological  evaluation, and background check.
