Human Relations Commission), no update from PHRC. Manager noted NO UPDATE on the sale of Calhoun School or ASKO Building. Manager noted tentative timeline of activities for hiring New Police Chief. Receiving resumes ends on 02/04/22, interviews will end on 2/18/22, hiring decision will end on Manager asked that all Council Members wanting to attend ALOM Spring Conference to let him or Donna (Secretary) know if attending. Deadline for registration is April 1, 2022. 2/28/22. Engineering Code Enforcement Solicitor provided update on Guardian Angels Building to Council. Judge granted 302 W. 8th Avenue - Notice of Violation for missing gutters. Need to develop ordinance on snow removal from sidewalks & streets. Mark B. noted several violations at rear of FOP Building. Will monitor. See attached Code Enforcement Report for 2021. Conservatorship to Tuff Properties. New 8th Avenue Sewer Project - Improvements to sanitary sewer including drainage and rain garden (BMNECC). Improvements to New Eighth Avenue. Remaining Actions: Provide information to complete Grant Streets Repair (General) - Laurel Hill Drive waterline replacement. Engineer will contact PAWC to make sure curb to curb street repair. 2022 Projects: Wanut/Granowew/Nee! Streets repaved. Need to review Pinewood Drive, showing many cracks in street. Ms. Conway Street Slide - Engineer/Solicitor provided Update on $92K shared expense. SR-837 Project - Project to begin in Spring 2022. Manager requesting reimbursement. PADEP Consent Order - Manager shared Engineering document on PADEP Consent Order requirements, timeline of activities and fines associated with missing timelines. Cain to provide Manager with earlier analysis on Street Repair. Still working with Allegheny County & SVSD for reimbursement. Manager shared Q&A (Handout) with Penn Dot. Authorties/Boards/Commissions Ms. Ferson attended the Steel Valley Enterprise Zone Meeting and mentioned the team would like West Homestead to let them know if anyone was interested in hosting the 1st Friday Events (Businesses). This meeting Northern Region Sidewalks/Retaining Walls - Manager sent Engineering proposals for both Sidewalks & Retaining Walls to Committee. Recommendation is to work with owners on maintaining sidewalks. Manager sent draft of letter to residents. Waiting on feedback. has been moved to February 2022. Community Affairs (Ms. Ferson) Community Clean-Up Day is tentatively scheduled for 05/07/2022. Will align with Boy/Girl Scouts National Clean-Up Day. Personnel (Ms. Scolieri) Continue with Benchmarking to compare Wages & Benefits. Public Safety (Mr. Harhai) - See attached Police Report for 2022 Manager discussed topics from Public Safety Meeting: Building Improvements, CJIS VS WH Police current software (Informant) has been replaced by Allegheny County software. Accreditation, Current Scheduling Achievements, recent activities. RJc completed initial training requirement. Fire Chief provided monthly Activity Report. Fire Chief provided status on Cooling/Warming Center. Radios for Fire/EMS.
