F ASTA TOWN OF ASTATULA MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL MINUTES SPECIAL SESSION MONDAY MARCH2 21, 2022 TOWN HALL 1872 Having been duly advertised as required by law, Mayor Mack called the Regular Session meeting to order at 5.35pm. He led the Pledge of Allegiance. Members Present: Mitchell Mack, Mayor Stephen Cross, Vice-Mayor Gayle Sikkema Zane Teeters Absent: Orita Issartel Staff] Present: Graham Wells, Town Clerk Wally Hoagland, Police Chief Roll Call was performed, and it was determined that a quorum was present. The Mayor welcomed Karen Smith and Deborah Hughes. CITIZENS QUESTIONS. AND COMMENT There was no citizens questions or comments. AGENDA REVIEW There were no changes to the agenda. NEW BUSINESS Proposal and Approval lofLaw Enforcement Vehicle Repair-2 2018 Ford Interceptor. The Mayor deferred to Chief Hoagland who went over his report which is shown below. This proposal is to replace the engine in the 2018 Ford Interceptor, with an engine purchased and labor completed by Ford of Clermont for the estimated price of $11,900.00 dollars. He has discussed the issues withi the vehicle, with the council several times ini thej past and has made our After having the engine taken apart by a different dealership (Ford of Clermont), it has been discovered that this engine is not repairable and should have been replaced before it came out of the last repair shop.
