OFASTA TOWN OF ASTATULA MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL MINUTES TENTATIVE BUDGET HEARING THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2022 TOWN HALL SINCE 1872 Having been duly advertised as required by law, Mayor Mitchell Mack called the Tentative Budget Hearing to order at 7:05pm. He gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Members Present: Mitchell Mack, Mayor Stephen Cross, Vice-Mayor Orita Issartel Gayle Sikkema Zane Teeters Also Present: Graham Wells, Town Clerk Walter Hoagland, Police Chief Roll Call was performed, and it was determined that a quorum was present. This public hearing is for the purpose of announcing the percentage by which the millage rate differs from the rolled-backi rate; and for Council to adopta a tentative millage rate by Resolution. Council will also adopt the tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2022-23 by fund department. RESOLUTION 2022-23 - DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING THE RATE OF A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ASTATULA, FLORIDA; ADOPTING A TENTATIVE MILLAGE RATE OF 7.5000 FOR THE TOWN OF ASTATULA FOR AD VALOREM TAXES FOR FISCAL YEAR: 2022-2023; PROVIDING FOR ANI EFFECTIVEDATE. Mayor Mack read the resolution title and announced the following information as required by AD VALOREM TAXATION Florida Statutes: The' Taxing Authority is the Town of Astatula The Rolled-Back Rate is 7.0855 mills The Percentage overt the Rolled-Back Rate is 5.85 percent Thel Millage Rate tol be Levied is 7.5000 mills At this point the Mayor opened the meeting for public comment on this issue only; there being It was then opened for Council discussion. FOR THE FISCAL YEAR A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ASTATULA, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR THE TOWN OF ASTATULA, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2022, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2023, AND Mayor Mack read the resolution title and announced the following information as required by The Tentative Budget for the Town of Astatula for Fiscal Year 2022-23 to be adopted by Fund BEGINNINGOCTORERI 11.2022.ANDENDINGSEPTEMBER 30.2023 ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Florida Statutes: Department is as follows: General Fund - In the amount of $1,486,867.00 Transportation Fund - Int the amount of $86,330.00 Infrastructure Fund - In the amount of$198,000.00 Enterprise (Utility) Fund - Int the amount of$123,039.00 TOTALALL FUNDS-51894236.00 At this point the Mayor opened the meeting for public comment on this issue only; there being It was then opened for Council discussion.
