Climate Action Plan, recommendations for Town Council (Debbie, Woody, Lea) Phil Boyle, Senior Planner for Town of San Anselmo, is in attendance. Been working with Christine O'Rourke and Debbie Stutsman on San Anselmo's Climate CAP outlines what the town is doing and should be doing short term and long term to reduce Citizens of San Anselmo recognize importance and room fori improvement. BYOB (bring your own bags), update postèrs (Sita) Safeway has placed our flyer on cash registers. for them (county ordinance applies to grocery stores only). Issue - businesses do not want to charge for paper bags. But shopkeepers are interested in our signs. 8. SmartMeters update (Woody) Lea and Sita conducting survey on paper bag usage, appetite among retail stores to charge Woody commends both Sita and Leai for survey, and Quinne for creative work on flyer. PG&E opt out plans came out - charging very high fees to not use SmartMeters. Ball is in PUC's court with regard to next steps.. Green Fair update (Chantal/Lea) Wes should consider participating with another organization. Would town support funding al booth at EcoFair in September? Sita - Attended a small Earth Day celebration. Woody - CA-DISC. Perhaps work with them and Drake High School on an environmental Friday night music events. Perhaps set up ai table with "green" information. o This event is attended largely by parents and small children.
