Brainstorming session #1: Should QOL get behind one major item per year, possibly making a difference in our carbon footprint, without neglecting other Quinine - Very interested int focusing on a single cause, where a measurable Lea - Shares this view. Would like a quantifiable way of knowing the results of efforts Commission members are in agreement that we should do this - focus on one. 7. Introduction to doable goal in support of Climate Action Plan, possibly Deep Barbara - Deep Green option from Marin Clean Energy could be good. Kevin - Perhaps we should consider enrollment in MCE in general, whether it's Deep items? [Quinine] difference can be made. or campaign. cause. Green project (Lea) Green or Light Green.: MCE Light Green rates are competitive with PG&E, Deep Green rates are $.01 more per kiwi hour. Quinne moves toi focus on Deep Green in 2012, Lea seconds. Vote is approved; Kevin abstains (not sure about getting people to opt ini for this option, versus just Subcommittee formed to develop QOL roll out plan - Lea, Quinne and Kevin.: Woody recommends focusing on items 1,2, 6 and 8, from Lea's list. ensuring they participate in MCE). Report back to commission during next meeting. 8. Brainstorming session #2: How can we best disseminate information (plus possibility of public forums in council chambers)? (Quinne, Lea) Quinne: - Line up speaker. panel list/series for different categories -1 for example, home energy audits, water usage/management, LED lighting, etc. Can promote through different websites (Chantal to distribute list). Woody. requests to form subcommittee to work on speaker series. Quinne and Barbara to be on this subcommittee. 9. Schedule for future speakers (Quinne) Quinne would like suggestions on who should be next. Choice is a Sustainable organization representative. 10. Commission comments & questions, requests for future agenda items: Listing of new ideas (brainstorming session), maximum of two minutes per Lea - Signed up with Redwood Credit Union. They're working on installing another PG&E announced there is a major gas pipeline in downtown San Anselmo. Tom Mclnerney and David Fox have been communicating with Woody about the Drave Blvd. construction project that stopped (between Walgreen's ànd TCBY). But QOL Commission can'tr really do much since this deals with private property. commissioner (all) ATM in Fairfax. Barbara to look into this further. 11.
