Open Time for Public Expression [3 minutes]  None.  6. Speaker: Kiki La Porta, president of Sustainable Marin, co-founder of Sustainable San Rafael (with Sue Spofford); plus Q&A. [15 minutes; plus 15 minutes] First event was held at Marin Garden Center - "Making Choices That Make Change." All volunteers. incounty.  Have mail list of approximately 2K people. Sustainable Marin is a 501(c)(3) organization.  Sustainable Marin played active role in working with Marin Clean Energy to get it launched Has been working with Resilient Neighborhoods - one direct community outreach project in which Sustainable Marin is involved (other activities focus' on outreach to cities, City of San Rafael has written Resilient Neighbornoods into its city plan. Discussion on QOL tracking Climate Action Plan tasks; appointment of subcommittee consisting of Lea and Chantal. (Lea) [8 minutes] As part of a certification project, Lea is conducting a community mapping exercise of San Anselmo with regard to the town's Climate. Action Plan. Way to. keep the plan at the forefront in terms of an issue, priority. Develop online tool to measure progress toward achieving key milestones in plan. Woody moves to authorize subcommittee with Lea, Sita and Chantal to develop Climate Action Plan tracking tool. Kevin seconds. Motion is approved. Share plan, information with all Sustainable organizations.  governments).  8. Follow-up on eight-session QOL-sponsored public forum series, including naming. Possible name: o Doing it Greener. - DIG San Anselmo Possibly April/May to December.  First speaker - Christina O'Rourke discussing Climate Action Plan. Second speaker - Tamra Peters, Resilient Neighborhoods  Have Debbie Stutsman, Mayor Tom McInerney: and/or Diane Henderson possibly introduce Woody moves that commission authorize subcommittee proceed with the forum and set up  speakers.  first 2-3 sessions. Lea seconds.  Need publicity to promote event - possibly offer refreshments. 9. Election of QOL chair, vice chair, secretary. (All) [5 minutes] toc continue as secretary. Lea seconds. Officers are re-elected.  Chantal nominates Woody to continue as chair, Quinne to continue as vice chair and Kevin 10. Discussion on. possibility of QOL environmental film series. (Sita) [5 minutes]    There are many documentaries available on environmental topics. Possibly could supplement speaker series - some are just 4-5 minutes long.  Maybe show- longer films 41 times a year. One good choice - Thrive thrvemovemenucom),  Woody moves that Sita and Lea serve as subcommittee to confer with Barbara to dovetail short films into speaker forum series, and determine 3-4 times in year to plan a film series.  Lea seconds.  Sita requests suggestions for films to show. Woody's suggestions for title: Green Screen, Reel Deal.  11. Do we want to staff al booth at Earth Day at Civic Center, or share someone else's? Instead, provide information to another organization to make available at the event. Woody moves that Sita and Chantal check with Earth Day event organizers (at Civic Center) toi inquire about possibly participating in someone else's booth. Lea seconds. Motion is' 12. Filling 7th seat (possibility: Dave Behrs, head of San Domenico School). Adoption of updated QOL logo, letterhead. (Quinne) [2 minutes] Kevin to copyi information from Facebook onto QoL blog. 14. Update on Resilient Neighborhoods (Sita) [2 minutes]  Lea moves, to approve new logo and letterhead. Kevin seconds. Motion is approved.  Going great.  Not sure if Sita's group will be able to expand to form other groups, but will see. 15. Need for four QOL commissioners to re-up immediately. (Woody) [2 minutes] 16. Update regarding letter on potential Historic Downtown ordinance. (Woody) [2 Woody completed and sent letter to Debbie to present to council. Town. is to be commended for conducting survey = very. nice to have it online.  Woody, Chantal and Sita have submitted applications.  minutes]  17. Commission comments & questions, requests for future agenda items: Listing of new ideas (brainstorming session), maximum of two minutes per commissioner (all) [12 Lea showed new mailer/brochure from PG&E - opt out plan is cheaper, but still costly. Sita - Vista Natural Gas is making calls selling natural gas to residential users, even though they're mostly a commercial provider. Could create confusion with Marin Clean Energy Lea - Showed Quinne's information prepared on Marin Clean Energy education = will  minutes]  campaign,  distribute to local businesses.  Post on our websites (WordPress, Facebook, etc.).    Woody - Would like 300 dpi head shot of each commissioner. Then suggest town post 18.
