Heard about QOL Commission through Quinne. Chantal moves to approve, Lea seconds. Agenda is approved. Sita amends point 14i in March meeting minutes. Moves to approve as revised. Jelani is founding director of Bicycle Works, a San Anselmo not-for-profit Have had outpouring of support from San Anselmo community. Produced 3 electrified bikes for Marin County Open Space District. organization. Students come in; some interns. Boy scout groups, middle school groups. Get funds from memberships (as nonprofit). (Barbara, Quinne, Sita) [7 minutes] Possible first date: May 17 or May 24. 6. Follow-up on eight-session QOL-sponsored public forum and film series. Resilient Neighborhoods or Climate. Action Plan representative. Possible names: Connect the Green Dots; CAPtivation; DIG San Anselmo. Choice - Connecting the Green Dots. Will offer nice opportunities for imagery as Quinne and' Woody will develop flyer and messaging. Peter Joseph is an option for speaker - discussing climate change. Jelani suggested Saul Griffith - regular TED speaker. well. 7. Update on QOL tracking Climate Action Plan tasks. (Lea) [5 minutes] Lea has not made significant tracking progress. Will have update next month. Regarding promotion of Deep Green, Lea distributed fliers to local ousinesses. 8. Filling 7th seat (possibility: Dave Behrs, head of San Domenico School). Sita still trying to reach student at Drake toj join QoL Commission. Three QoL commissioners need to complete and submit applications. Dave Behrs has submitted application to fill our 7th seat. 9. Update on updated QOL logo, letterhead. (Quinne) [3 minutes] Quinne will email everyone a business card template to print at home. (Woody) and youth seat (Sita) [4 minutes] Stationery is updated and approved. 10. Creating a mailing list for QOL. (Lea) [3 minutes] Woody moves to begin creating a mailing list by adding to Facebook, Twittera and blog feeds, with Lea leading effort. Quinne seconds. Motion is approved. 11. Commission comments & questions, requests for future agenda items: Listing of new ideas (brainstorming session), maximum of two minutes per Chantal - One of the parents at her school asked if there is anything we can do about noise of garbage collectors early in the morning. Barbara reported she should Sita - She and Lea met regarding ideas for films to show at events. Woody suggested screening and recommending some films for us to show.
