Washington (use Columbia Street entrance) March 28, 2024 MINUTES CALL TO ORDER The Chair of the Main Street Advisory Board called the meeting to order at 9:53AM. The following were in attendance: BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Rita Cook, Phillip Greer, Scott Allen, Aimee Shouse, Julie Thomas, BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Jocelyn Perez, Jill Burk OTHERS ATTENDING: Ashley Thomas, Michaela Bierman, Darrell Brown Approval of minutes: February 22, 2024- Approving at April meeting REGULAR AGENDA General Discussion Cleanups: March 23"d clean up had 8 volunteers. Recommended by Scott Allen that we reach out to the Historical Overlay task force: Rita passed out a starting point for incentives, asked other board members to recruit others that might want a sayi in what is included. Will schedule a meeting with that group. Comprehensive Plan for Stephenville. 2050: showed the activity pages that were done at the last meeting. Parking Downtown: recap of what was discussed at the Downtown Hall Meeting for parking and how to Work Plan and Committee discussion: Manager reminded board members to choose what tasks they would Greek and other organizations on the school campus' to get them involved. Pointing out the items that pertain to Main Street. keep parking open for customers. like to assist with for the 2024 year. Michaela gave an update for the Western Swing Festival that is being planned fori the Fall. Manager gave report on all that has been worked on and current projects. Board members are going to ask around to seei if others would be interested in supporting. Ice rink discussion: other ideas that could be hosted tol bring others downtown for the month long event. Michaela gave an update on the April gth Eclipse partnership with Tarleton State. There are hotels int town that are fully booked.
