MINUTES OF A BUDGET WORKSHOP  JULY11,2017  The Hollywood Park City Council met in al budget workshop on July 11, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Town Hall. Notice was posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meeting Laws. Mayor Fails called the meeting to order with the following Council Members present: Mike Howe, Debbie Trueman, Chris Murphy, Oscar Villarreal and Scott Bailey. Also present: City Treasurer-kristina Marsico, City Secretary-Janice Alamia, Police Chief, Shad Prichard, Fire  Chief, John Butrico and Public Works Director, Kelly Cowan. Discussion by the Council was based on the following: WORK SESSION ON PROPOSED FY 2017-2018 BUDGET  CITIZEN COMMENTS:  Does the Police Department use reserve Police Officers and how do you recruit? Can the Police Department use: reserve officers on your new Step Program? Has the Police Deparment ever used a citizens onj patrol like Windcrest does? Thank you to the City Secretary, Janice Alamia and the Public Works Director, Kelly Can we: recruit police officers from other police departments for the new Step Program?  Cowan for all the hard work you do.  Council is responsible for ensuring the city remains viable. IsPublicWorks going to take over Code Compliance full time?
