MINUTES OF A SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING  AUGUST28. 2017  The Hollywood Park City Council met in a Special Meeting on August 28, 2017 at 7:07p.m. in Town Hall. Notice was posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meeting Laws. Mayor Chris Fails called the meeting to order with the following Council Members present: Mike Howe, Debbie Trueman, Chris Murphy, Oscar Villarreal and Scott Bailey. Also present:  City Secretary-Janice Alamia.  NEW BUSINESS:  1. Discussion on criteria for new Waste Services contract for Hollywood Park.  a. Citizen Comments: None  b. Discussion: Mayor Fails stated the current criteria we. have concerning waste services. Councilwoman Trueman stated she would like tol keep the same criteria we currently have with the exception ofmaybe seeking price options with brush pick up only during the months we currently cut our oak trees. Questions were asked by the different waste  vendors and response from Council was:  No taxes are charged on our bill  Back door pick- upi is for individuals who have sent a letter to City Hall from their health provider that they are handicapped. This service is free. Volumes concerning brush, trash, recycling, etc will be provided by Waste Penalty for not starting brush pick up, recycle or garbage pick-up on designated day. 10% reduction on next month's! bill. Penalty for not finishing brush, recycle or trash pick-up within 10 days of start date. 10%1 reduction on next month's bill. Show price of contract with and without a Performance Bond. No staging area for brush pick up City will forgo 100% oft the proceeds from recycling SO therefore would pay not tipping fees for recycle product.  Mgmt.  Bids will be turned into City Hall by September 15, 2017 for inclusion into the Council packet  for vote on 9/19/2017.
