MINUTES OF A REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MARCH19,2019 The Hollywood Park City Council met in a regular session on March 19, 2019 at 7:00p.m. in Town Hall. Notice was posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meeting Laws. Mayor Chris Murphy called the meeting to order with the following Council Members present: Debbie Trueman, Oscar Villarreal, Delaine Hall and Scott Bailey. Also present: Police Chief- Shad Prichard, Fire Chief- John Butrico, Public Works Director-Kelly Cowan, City Treasurer- JeffHinson, City Attorney- Michael Brenan and City Secretary-Janice Alamia. Absent: Counciimember-Mike Howe. PRESENTATIONS: Brian with Armstrong, Vaughn and Associates presented the 2017-2018 financial audit to the Council. They recorded routine items such as tax accruals, accounts payable, net pension liability and depreciation. ARROINCINENINAYOR AND CITY EMPLOYEES: 1. Accept the Financial Statements as of2/28/2019. Councilmember Trueman made the motion to approve the Consent Agenda in its entirety and Councilman Bailey seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Discussion: Public Works Director, Kelly Cowan spoke concerning the scheduling of the pool facilities. He suggested having the pool open during the Hammer Head swim season to 12pm to 8pm Sunday - Thursday and 12pm to 9pm Friday and Saturday. After Hammerhead swim season it would be 9am to 8pm Sunday - Thursday and 9am to 9pm Friday and Saturday. Councilmember Debbie Trueman made the motion to have the pool open during the Hammer Head swim season to 12pm to 8pm Sunday - Thursday and 12pm to 9pm Friday and Saturday. After Hammerhead. swim season it would be 9am to 8pm Sunday - Thursday and 9am to 9pm Friday and Saturday. Councilmember Scott Baileys seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Mayor Murphy read the Executive Session and adjourned into the closed session at 8:04pm The City Council will convene in a closed session as authorized by Section 551.071 (2) ofthe Texas Government Code to consult with its attorney on matters in which the duty oft the attorney to the City Council under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional conduct oft the State Bar ofTexas clearly conflicts with Open Meetings Act, specifically new digital billboards, wire EXECUTIVE SESSION transfer banking and procedural options.
