Town of Hollywood Park Special City Council Meeting Monday, June 22, 2020 Meeting Duration: 4:00 p.m. to 4:12 p.m. CALL TO ORDER: ROLL CALL:  Mayor Chris Murphy called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.  Members of City Counci!: Mayor Chris Murphy, Delaine Hall, Oscar Villarreal, Debbie Hollywood Park Staff Present: City Attorney Ryan Henry, Police Chief Shad Prichard, City Treasurer Jeff Hinson, Public Works Director Kelly Cowan and Finance/HR Assistant Jeannette  Trueman and Michael Howe  Hugghins NEW BUSINESS  1. Discuss/take possible action on appointing an interim City Secretary. (Mayor  Murphy):  a) Citizen Comments:  Barbara Keener proposed questions to. Jeannette regarding her experience and b) Discussion: Mayor explained that Jeannette stepped in as an existing City employee and has been more than helpful in assuming this role. She has Councimember Trueman moved to appoint Jeannette Hugghins as Interim City Secretary. Councilmember Hall seconded the motion, which passed  knowledge in overseeing elections. experienced and has done similar work.  unanimously. a) Citizen Comments: None b) Discussion: None  2. Discuss/take possible action on the resignation of Councilman Bailey.  Councimember Villarreal moved to accept the resignation of Councilman Scott Bailey. Councimember Hall seconded the motion, which pass unanimously.  3. Discuss/take possible action on appointing a replacement for the vacated council  position by Councilman Bailey. (Mayor Murphy)  c) Citizen Comments: None d) Discussion:  Mayor explained he would like for this to be a fair and open vetting for interested candidates. Councilmembers discussed how to post the position for the citizens who are interested to come forward. Council agreed to have any interested citizens submit their information to the Interim City Secretary for  dissemination to City Council members. No action taken on this item.
