Borough of New Morgan Berks County, Pennsylvania  Borough Council Regular Meeting Minutes October 16th, 4 2023  The special meeting oft the New Morgan Borough Council was advertised for Monday, October 161h, 2023. at 7:00pm in the offices ofthe Borough of1 New Morgan, 200 Bethlehem Drive, Suite 104,  Morgantown, PA.  Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by President Tressie M. Marroon-Bailey at 7:19 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Connie Brown-Weber, Mayor.  Attending Officials: Tressie M. Marroon-Bailey, President Doreen Smith, Vice-President Christopher C. Weber, Member Connie Brown-Weber, Mayor Borough Staff:  Ashlyn Whittingham, Borough Manager/Secretary Thomas Barbine, Finance Director  Guests: William Bailey, Scott Cahill residents. Nicole Plank, NMB Solicitor. Beth Vopper,  Southern Berks Land Company Public Comment: None  Minutes: Minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed. Christopher Weber motioned to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. Doreen Smith seconded the motion. The vote was Correspondence: Ashlyn Whittingham informed council that herself, Tressie Marroon-Bailey, Bill Bailey and Nicole Plank, Borough'ss solicitor met with Abraxas to discuss future protocols and  unanimous. The following reports were submitted tol Borough Council:  Codes Enforcement Officer: None Sewage Treatment Plant: None Engineer/SEO: None Solicitor: None Borough Manager: None  Treasurer: Treasurer reports were presented to council and reviewed    Firel Department: The Twin Valley Fire Department sent the monthly report, and it was presented to EMS: The report was received from the Chiefof Operations for EMS, Matthew Welch.  Council.  Mayor: Nothing to present  Christopher Weber motioned to approve the reports as given Doreen Smith seconded the motion.  The vote was unanimous. The motion carried.  Business:  A. The Borough Council approved the Tentative Plan that was submitted by PDC Northeast LPIV, LLC for the warehouse development. Borough Council voted as 3 members approved the tentative plan and no one opposed. The vote was unanimous. The motion B. The Borough Council approved the 2024 renewal çontract for West Generator Services Inc. Doreen Smith motion to approve the renewal as given. Christopher Weber seconded C. The Borough Council approved the 2024 renewal agreement for Animal Rescue League. Christopher Weber motion to approve the renewal as given. Doreen Smith seconded the D. The Borough Council approved the quote from Solve IT to replace both borough staff's laptops. Doreen Smith motion to approve the renewal as given. Christopher Weber seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. The motion carried. E.1 The Borough Council made motion to allow NMB to sign up for Remote Deposit with Truist Bank. Doreen Smith motion to approve the renewal as given. Christopher Weber seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. The motion carried. F. The Borough Council agreed to pay $60.00 towards the Borough Managers phone bill as she constantly uses it for work purposes. Doreen Smith motioned to approve as given. Christopher Weber seconded it.
