Borough of New Morgan Berks County, Pennsylvania  Borough Council Regular Meeting Minutes August 14h, 2023  The regular meeting ofthel New Morgan Borough Council was advertised for Monday, August 14h, 2023, following the NMB Utilities Authority meeting at 7:00pm in the offices oft the Borough of  New Morgan, 200 Bethlehem Drive, Suite 104, Morgantown, PA.  Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by President Tressie M. Marroon-Bailey at 7:02 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Doreen Smith, Vice-President  Attending Officials: Tressie M. Marroon-Bailey, President Doreen Smith, Vice-President Christopher C. Weber, Member Connie Brown-Weber, Mayor - Not here Borough Staff: Ashlyn Whittingham, Borough Manager/Secretary Thomas Barbine, Finance Director Guests: William Bailey, Scott Cahill residents.  Public Comment: NONE  Minutes: Minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed. Christopher Weber motioned to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. Doreen Smith seconded the motion. The vote was Correspondence: Ashlyn Whittingham informed council that a permit was approved for Vehicle Charging Stations to be installed behind C building. located at 200 Bethlehem Drive. New Morgan,  unanimous. The motion carried.  PA 19543.  The following reports weresubmitted to Borough Council:  Codes Enforcement Officer: None Sewage Treatment Plant: None Engineer/SEO: None Solicitor: None Borough Manager: None  Treasurer: Treasurer reports were presented to council and reviewed    Fire Department: The Twin Valley Fire Department sent the monthly report, and it was presented to EMS: The February report was received from the CheforOperations for EMS. Matthew Welch. Doreen Smith motioned to approve the reports as given Christopher Weber seconded the motion.  Council.  Mayor: Nothing to present  The vote was unanimous. The motion carried.  Business:  A. Ar ratification was made from the Borough Council for the delivery oft the proposed Zoning Ordinance to the New Morgan Planning Committee and the Berks County a. A motion was made to have a Public Hearing on September 11tha at 7:00pm for b. The Borough Council authorized the Borough Manager or Borough Solicitor Christopher Weber made the above motions and Doreen Smith seconded the motions. B. Aratification was made from the Borough Council for the delivery ofthe proposed Tentative PRD Plan for the Southern Berks Industrial Park to the New Morgan Planning Committee and the Berks County Planning Committee. a. Ar motion was made to have a Public Hearing on September 11that 7:00pm for b. The Borough Council authorized the Borough Manager or Borough Solicitor Doreen Smith made the above motions and Christopher Weber seconded the motions. A motion was made to accept the Real Estate Assessment Appeal Settlement Agreement filed by WBP Leasing Inc. Doreen Smith made the motion and Christopher Weber seconded the motion.
