The City plans to apply for OPWC funding the multi-year project of improvements to the West Market Street (SR 55) corridor. The scope of the West Market Street Corridor Improvement Project will include the roadway widening with new curbs, gutter, sidewalks and/or recreation trail improvements as well as associated storm water piping. Sanitary and water lines will be relocated as necessary for conflict points. For OPWC Round 39 (applications due August 5), staff will request funding for the Phase improvements. Phase lis anticipated to be in the area of West Market Street between Parkview Drive and 2433 West Market Street. A portion of Phase 1, between Parkview Drive and Kenton Way, will just The pre-design estimate for Phase I is approximately $1,981,061, with $600,000 being requested in OPWC funding. $600,000 is the maximum amount of funding that can be awarded for Round 39 construction.
