RESOLUTION NO. 20101014-034  WHEREAS, the street food scene is exploding in cities across the United States, and Austin is on the leading edge with literally hundreds of  mobile eateries serving up highly creative cuisine; and  WHEREAS, trailers representing the best of their genres will come together at Auditorium Shores providing an opportunity for attendees to sample dozens of foods within easy walking distance, listen to music from  two stages, and participate in other fun activities; and  WHEREAS, the energy of this culinary revolution will be captured with the Austin Trailer Food Festival 2010 event to be held on November 6,  2010 at Auditorium Shores; and  WHEREAS, the festival will be free and open to the public and serves  a public purpose by:  1) promoting Austin's unique character; 2) enhancing Austin's quality oflife; 3) promoting civic pride;  4) contributing to Austin's arts, food, and culture; and  5) promoting Austin's small locally owned mobile food vendors.  NOW, THEREFORE,  BEITRESOLVED BY' THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF AUSTIN: 1. Ina accordance with Resolution No. 021003-40, three Council members have agreed to add the Austin Trailer Food Festival 2010 event as a  City co-sponsored special event for this year.    2. The Council approves the waiver or reimbursement of certain fees and requirements for the city co-sponsored Austin Trailer Food Festival 2010 event co-sponsored with C3 Presents, L.L.C., which is to be held  on November 6, 2010 at Auditorium Shores.
