SCHWENKSVILLE BOROUGH COUNÇIL  SPECIAL MEETING January 5, 2017  Council President Darren Rash at 6:35PM, called the Schwenksville Borough Council Special Present, President ofCouncil Darren Rash, Lee. Ann Miller, Greg Pocius, Todd Larsen and  meeting, January 5, 2017 to order. Mayor Joe Giunta. Absent  PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: By the assembly  Thej purpose ofthis meeting is to appoint a new councilperson and have Mayor Giunta swear him/her in to replace Philip Berardi who resigned inl December 2016. Mr. Rash thanked both Sarah and Adam for coming out to thel last Borough Council meeting and introducing themselves Mr. Rash asked for nominations for Councilmember; Councilwoman Lee Ann Miller nominated Sarah Knickerbocker to fill the position of Councilperson second Todd Larsen. All in favor, The Zoning Hearing Board also has a vacancy and' Todd Larsen nominated Adam Slater Ms. knickerbocker and Mr. Slater both signed the affidavit ofre residency and Mayor. Joe Giunta Ms. Miller thanked both Sarah and Adam for volunteering to fill the vacancies.  to Council.  Motion carried 4-0.  second Greg Pocius. All in favor, Motion carried 4-0.  administered the Oath of Office.  Public Comments: Ms. Miller thanked Mr. Melville for his comments regarding the 2017 budget. Council appreciates public input. The 2017 Budget was passed at the December 8, 2016 Mrs. Klepfer also informed Council that $10,000 was moved to the Capital Reserve account at the end of2016. This fund will help pay for the repairs oft the failing storm sewers. With no further business, Greg Pocius made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:50pm seconded  Council Meeting.  by Todd Larsen.
