State Police have been sitting at the Fire Company lot and the closed gas station. Daily Bread Food Pantry has ai new 1 year lease on Ridge Pike andi is working with people in Lower Frederick ona Fire Company Report, Chris Melville was out on a Fire Call was not able to attend the meeting. Ambulance Report, Gail Phillips read the report for March 2017 stating Plymouth Community Ambulance had 13 calls for Greenfield SeniorLiving and 4 calls for the Borough. PCAA Memberships are available anytime; please call 610-277-2776 & ask for the billing department. David and Joan Smith owners of341 Cherry Street have concerns that the snow plowing was not done this past winter as it was done in thej past. The Smith's would like the Borough to continue plowing in front of 341 Cherry Street. It was explained that cherry Street is not an ordained street and there is only one house that takes access from Cherry Street, which is currently vacant, and that the Borough feels it should only plow up to the property line. The decision from Council is to write a policy about plowing un-ordained: roads and distribute the policy to the affected property owners. possible new building to be built to specifically address their needs. Schwenksville, Trappe and Collegeville are the hosts for the dinner and the speaker is Newsletter Recognition- Congratulations Schwenksville Borough on tying for first place with another Borough for submitting our newsletters for the Borough Association Communication Competition at Ms. Miller's suggestion. Lee. Ann Miller and Anne Klepfer have accepted the invitation for the Luncheon on May 9 to accept the award on behalf of the Borough. Tax Certification Resolution: Mrs. Rowley requested an increase in the amount she can charge for Tax Certifications. The current charge is $15, Mrs. Rowley would like an increase to $20 or $25 per Jamie Ridge, President/CEO Suburban Realtors Alliance cert. There was no motion by Council on this matter. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Property Committee: No Report Historical Committee: The Committee purchased a voice recorder to interview older residents. 3 BOROUGH OF: SCHWENKSVILLE, PA COUNCIL MEETING APRIL1 13, 2017 Revitalization Task Force: The committee talked about the Mural and approved the design. They are also having a "meet the artist" at Community Day, Teresa Hagg will answer questions for an Thel Flag Emblem: The Committee received new designs from the County Planners for thel Flag Emblem. Thel Emblem could be used in the Mural's, sidewalk medallions and an actual Borough Flag. In the Emblem, there is a "Heart" that the Committee would like to use in various ways. Parks and Recreation Committee: The Committee will meet on the 4th Friday of each' month at 12:00PM now until October. The second Saturday of each month we will police Meadow Park. Clean up day for Schwenksville will be Saturday. April 22, 2017. Please meet at Meadow Park at 9am. We will mulch the playground, get stone for the end oft the access road into Meadow Park. Still looking into getting a grill to place permanently near thej pavilion. For Community Day, we will use disposable tablecloths and look into redoing them in. August when the weather is warmer. hour. Mr. Larsen will supervise. Ryan from the Watershed will try to clean up the rain garden. Community Day: May 6th 10-3.1 Lee Ann and Gail have an idea to include a pot luck community picnic along with the June concert. Also, to purchase a volleyball net and balls that can be set up at the concerts for anyone to use. Darren Rash will donate his volleyball net to the Borough. The OTHER BUSINESS: Mr. Rash went to the breakfast sponsored by Senator Robert Mench. Topic was School Taxes that would be raised for the State Police which would be about $25 per person. Senator Mench approves if the money goes to the State Police but the money will actually go to Adjournment- Motioned by Greg Pocius and seconded by Sarah Knickerbocker to adjourn the Committee will purchase two volley balls.
