COUNTY HAULING Dear New Kensington Resident,  NOBLE ENVIRONMENTAL  CI  We are pleased to inform you that County Hauling, a Noble Environmental company, was awarded the new contract for residential trash collection in New Kensington beginning January 15t, 2024. We look forward to continuing to provide New Kensington with a safe and efficient collection program! One big change with the new contract is that we will no longer be collecting every residence ini the City on a single day each week. This means that some of you will experience a change to the day that your trash is collected. Please refer to the attached map: and calendar to confirm your new collection day. Please keep in mind that New Year's Day falls on a Monday this year sO the first collection of the year will be delayed  by one day.  The following guidelines apply to all residential trash collection int the City:  Trash must be out the night before your collection day after 6PM, or prior to 6 AM on the day of All trash containers, as well as bulk items, must be within five feet of the curb (orf fivet feet from the edge of a traveled road) and placed SO as not to interfere with the collection of other items, block the right of way or obstruct traffic. Items not visible or otherwise obstructed from view will not be Alli trash MUST be bagged before being placed in the trash can and each bag must weigh less than forty-five (45) pounds. Loose trash is a potential health hazard for our employees, is more difficult There will be a limit of ten (10) bags of trash and one (1) bulk item per week for each household. Bulk items shall mean large household appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, furniture and furnishings and plumbing fixtures. chairs, tables, armoires, chests, headboards, couches, cabinets and dressers, and other items as agreed by the parties. It shall also mean mattresses and boxed springs provided they are covered in special bags made for that purpose. Pianos, organs, spas, hot tubs, and furnaces will be excluded from the definition of bulk waste. New Kensington residents are eligible to receive scheduled collection of electronic and household hazardous waste at no additional cost.
