The meeting was called to order by Mayor Garry who led in the pledge to the Flag. The roll was called and the following present: Greg Garry Roy Sarver Sarah O'Brien Daryl Miller Mark Gadd Mayor Garry presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Street Department employee Brian Tempest, Jr, Officer Steven Kenyon, Officer Robert Yohe, and Officer Patrick Short for their outstanding heroic response to and actions to a fire int the City on! March 8, 2024. Mayor Garry then presented a Proclamation declaring the City of] Monongahela as the "Kindest City in America" to commemorate the dedication and commitment of the City of Monongahela, its residents and businesses to preserve and expand our community. Public) Forum George Eckert, representing the Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority and thel MARC Organization, stated that the new signs are being put together for the new bus stop and should be up int the next week. Het then stated that for the MARC Organization he stated that thel Mutt March willl bel May 4th, registration at 10AM at the. Aquatorium, march will start at 10 o'clock to Chess Park where there will be vendors. After the Mutt March the Bicycle Safety event will be at CFS He then stated hel has an issue with the utility companies. They put aj port aj john onl his property int thel Mounds without permission, dug up his front yard for new gas lines, and comcast working on wires and driving through people'sy yard leaving ruts int the yard. He thanked Sarah Terry Necciai, 400 Mead Street, representing the Main Street Program, announced another round of] Façade Grants they are going to announce. He then asked that ifa anyone is going on a road trip or vacations visiting small towns, to please stop and see ones that are Main Street Christine Somales, 808 West] Main Street, stated she is working onl Paint Monongahela projects. There are two projects this year and one is the Pigeon Creek and thel Farmer's! Market She then stated she is working on the Community Day thanking the City workers. They want to get more community involved in recognizing everyone.
