Council Meeting Special Meeting Council Chambers Monongahela, PA March 19, 2024  Minutes oft the regular meeting oft the Council oft the City ofl Monongahela, due notice of which meeting was published according tol law, held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 6:00) P.M., in Council Chambers. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Garry who led in the pledge to the  Flag.  The roll was called and the following present:  Greg Garry Roy Sarver Sarah O'Brien Daryl Miller Mark Gadd  Public Forum  No one was present for Public Forum sO council moved on.  Report of City Clerk Nothing to report. Report of Mayor Garry  Mayor Garry stated that the City had received a request toi move thel bus stop at Third and Main Streets. Chief] Harris suggésted that only two parking stalls be removed instead oft three asit It was moved by Mayor Gary, seconded by Councilman Gadd, to move the bus stop at Third and Main Streets in: front ofN Mrs. C's to' Third and Main Streets and remove two parking stalls in front of PNC Bank for the new bus stop, and the same was agreed to by the following Yea  would affect the parking for the businesses onl Main Street int that block.  and Nay vote to the call of the roll by the Clerk:  Yeas Greg Garry Roy Sarver Sarah O'Brien Daryl) Miller Mark Gadd  Total Yeas 5 Nays0 Garry and sO ordered. Report of Accounts & Finance  Ther motion having received the majority vote of Council the same was declared by Mayor  Councilman Sarver stated that they were reorganizing office personnel to affect cross training and sharing of duties that will resulti ini increased communication with thej public and increase revenue streams in order tol hopefully avoid increasing taxes. They are not eliminating It was moved by Councilman Sarver, seconded by Councilman Gadd, to create aj position of Director of Communications and Administration, and the same was agreed to by the following  any positions.  Yea and Nay vote tot the call of the roll by the Clerk:    Yeas Greg Garry Roy Sarver Sarah O'Brien Daryl Miller Mark Gadd  Total Yeas 5 Nays0 Garry and sO ordered. Report of Public Safety Nothing to report. Report of Streets & Improvements Nothing to report. Report of Parks &1 Property  Thei motion having received the majority vote of Council the same was declared by Mayor  It was moved by Councilman Gadd, seconded by Councilman Sarver, to approve agreement with. Aquatorium Innovations, and the same was agreed tol by the following Yea and  Nay vote tot the call oft the roll by the Clerk:  Yeas Greg Garry Roy Sarver Sarah O'Brien Daryl Miller Mark Gadd  Total Yeas 5 Nays0 Garry and so ordered.  The motion having received the majority vote of Council the same was declared by Mayor Councilman Gadd then informed council that he spoke to Garry Hillt to do the survey of Railroad Street from Second to Third Streets. The old fountain, he met with the Historical Society and they are willing tol help us financially with restoration. There will béj putting some type of  recycling container down at the Aquatorium for aluminum cans.  Report of Solicitor  Council was in executive session from approximately 5:45 PMto 6:25P PM.  Report of Police Chief Nothing to report.
