EPHRATAI BOROUGH ZONING HEARING BOARD MINUTES March 20, 2024  MEMBERS PRESENT: MEMBERS ABSENT: STAFF: VISITORS:  James Kiefer, Glen Mellinger, John Sollenberger  Chad Ochs, Greg Martin Zachary Rineer, Zoning Officer Ivan Zimmerman  Mr. Kiefer opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m.  Mr. Mellinger made a motion to approve the February 21, 2024, minutes with noted corrections. Mr. Mr. Kiefer read the notice fori the purpose of the hearing to consider a Special Exception for a short-term rental. Relief is sought under section. 319-27(15) of the Code oft the Borough of Ephrata. The subject property is located at 708 E. Main St. in a Residential Medium Density Zoning District. The applicant and Mr. Kiefer noted that the applicant was not present for the hearing and allowed five more minutes for Upon returning to session, Mr. Mellinger made a motion to continue the hearing to April 17, ,2024, to give applicant the opportunity to present a case.
