Townof Colorado Board ofTrustees Special Meeting Wednesday, June 5, 2024, 6 p.m.  Ledaredge  Call to Order & Pledge of Allegiance: Mayor Hart called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and led the Roll Call: Mayor Greg Hart; Trustees Steve Anderson, Jim Atkinson, Cordell Chapman, Justin Hoffbauer, Mick Murray, and Jerry Pippin. Interim Town Administrator (ITA) Mark Relph and Town Mayor Hart moved, and Trustee Anderson seconded to amend the agenda, adding constituent time to the agenda at the beginning and end oft the meeting. All voted 'aye,' no one voted 'nay." Motion passed  Pledge of Allegiance. Tree Board Appointment: Trustee Murray moved, and' Trustee Anderson seconded to appoint Dan Martin to the Cedaredge Tree Board. All voted 'aye,' no one voted 'nay." Motion passed unanimously and Dan Discussions were held regarding the Tree Board vacancies and the appointment ofMr. Martin.  Martin was appointed to the Cedaredge Tree Board.  Municipal Court Ordinance Changes- Judge Bruce. Joss  Judge Joss stated what the amendments to the Town Code would be.  Repealing three sections oft the code for junk, cat, and dog violations. Those three items set up: fines for violations and with those mandatory fines, it removes the discretion oft the Court. Judge Joss The second provision would be to rewrite the penalty part of the code to comply with the Interstate Judge Joss stated the changes would limit the jailable offenses allowed under the code. Judge Joss stated that there was a state statute for restitution and the code modification would Section 3 under the repeal sections of the code, item b; there is a typo. Title 6-13 there is not a three hundred section, there is a two hundred section, sO that would need to be updated on the Ordinance  recommended repealing this section oft the code.
