The Town Council of the Town of Copper Canyon met in regular session on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Copper Canyon Town Hall, 400 Woodland Drive, Copper Canyon, Texas, whereupon the following items were considered: ICALLTO ORDER Mayor Robertson called thei regular meeting ofthe Copper Canyon Town Council to order at 7:00 on the 24th day of June 2024. IV.CONSENT Items on the Consent Agenda are routine and administrative in nature. As such, these items are considered for approval by a single motion and vote generally without discussion. Town Administrator Meyer gave explanations to the questions. Mayor Pro Tem Hill made a motion to approve Consent Items 1,3&4 as presented. Council Member Andrews seconded the motion. Ayes: Nays: Mayor Pro Tem Hill, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Castillo, and Council Members Andrews and Lybbert None Mayor Robertson announced that the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Robertson asked for a motion to approve Consent Item #2. Mayor Pro Tem Hill made a motion to approve Consent Item #2 subject to corrections. Council Member Lybbert seconded the motion. The Town Council will conduct a Public Hearing for the purpose of hearing any and all comments and consider a recommendation from the Copper Canyon Planning and Zoning Commission regarding the following Jernigan Estates Development Plan thereby allowing for the development of approximately 12 acres, and to allow for the development ofs six (6) single family lots, located at 545 Jernigan Road, Copper Canyon, Texas 75077. Town Attorney Hager referenced the two Action Items for Council to consider relating to the Public Hearings that were open and closed, and after seeking legal advice, asked Council to consider as to Agenda Item VII #1 the following motion: "Motion to approve the Development Plan for Jernigan Estates as presented by the applicant and recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mayor Pro Tem Hill made a motion as stated by Town Attorney Hager. Council Member Lybbert seconded the motion.
