PUBLIC COMMENT (Limited to Three minutes per person)-N/A ROLL CALL-Members present for roll call were as follows; to wit: Mayor Grisham, Councilwoman Gonzales, Councilwoman Spears, Councilwoman Brown, Councilwoman Klepac and Councilwoman Mayor Report: Mayor Grisham thanked Jerry Leonard and the Library foravery successful weekend 7. Police Chief Report: Chief Cotton introduced Travis Moore, our new officer, and stated that Officer Moore graduated the academy passing the TCOLE exam with an 86 and class average was 89. Today is his first day andi it is more ofa an admin day with lots of paperwork. He added that traffic violations are up. 10. DDI Report: Jerry Leonard spoke on behalfof DD. He-briefed the council on the DD upcoming events, 13. Municipal Court Report: Council was given a handout from Judge Parsons explaining the monies 15. City Administrator Report: City Administrator Denman reminded everyone that the city-wide clean-up was happening this week. Denman went over financials and brought to the councils' attention a few line items. Council then asked a few questions on several different line items. 16. CONSENT (AUTOMATIC APPROVAL) AGENDA: (AII consent agenda items are considered routine by City Council and will be enacted by one motion. City Secretaries' Report: N/A Minutes: May 13, 2024, May 20, 2024, and May 30, 2024 Councilwoman Gonzales made a motion to approve minutes with corrections to May 20,2024. Councilwoman Amick seconds that motion. All members present were in favor. Motion carried. 17. REGULAR. AGENDA: (Discuss and consider the following items) A. De Leon P & M Festival Alcohol Sales - Councilwoman Spears madea motion to approve alcohol sales at the P& M Festival tractor pull on Friday and Saturday night. Councilwoman Brown seconds that motion. All B. Resolution #006-24, Road Closure for P& M Festival/Golden Saturday Councilwoman Spears made a motion to Resolution #006-24, Road Closure for P & M Festival/Golden Saturday. Councilwoman Gonzales seconds that motion. All members present were in favor. Motion carried. C. Appoint Mayor Pro-Tem - Councilwoman Amick made a motion to re- appoint Councilwoman Klepac. Councilwoman Brown seconds that motion. All members present were in favor. Motion carried. D. Resolution #007-24, Authorizing Signatories for City of De Leon Financial Accounts - Councilwoman Amick made a motion to approve Resolution #007-24, authorizing signatories for City of De Leon Financial accounts adding Diana Klepac. Councilwoman Brown seconds that motion. members present were in favor. Motion carried. All members present were in favor. Motion carried. Minutes- Regular City Council Meeting June 10, 2024 E. Appointment of Library Advisory Board - Council members made several nominations for the library board. The nominations were Laura Brown, Jon Awbrey, Rebecca Paine, Rachel Spencer, Connie Wise, Cindy Abbey, Donna Schuman, Brenda Huddleston and Nancy Brown. Councilwoman Gonzales made a motion to table until next meeting, so the nominees could be contacted. Councilwoman Spears seconds that motion. All members present were in favor. Motion carried.
